Early Life & The Call
I was born on September 24th, 1969, originally from **Kuruman Mothibistad** in the Diocese of Kimberley. As a teenager in the Chiro Movement, I first met the Franciscan Sisters and began attending their vocational workshops—a connection I never let go.
After matriculating in 1988, I spent a year teaching Tswana and Geography. Though my principal urged me to pursue teaching permanently, my heart was indecisive. Everything changed during a Diocesan meeting in December 1989. During Holy Mass, as we sang *”Reach out and touch somebody’s hand and make his world a better place,”* God spoke to me. On New Year’s Day, 1990, I traveled to Assisi to join the Sisters.
Service in Healing & Leadership
My life as a Religious has been defined by two paths: the clinical care of the sick and the administrative leadership of our Province. I trained as a professional nurse at the Free State School of Nursing and later obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Nursing Science from UNISA.
