Perpetual Vows

"I have called you by name; you are mine."
— Isaiah 43:1

The Perpetual Profession is the definitive and public act by which a Sister gives herself forever to God in the Congregation. After years of Juniorate and discernment, this final "Yes" is a celebration of love, fidelity, and total dedication to the Franciscan mission.

Our Sacred Commitment

By making Perpetual Vows, a Sister commits herself to three pillars of our religious life:

  • Chastity: Loving God with an undivided heart and being available for all His people.
  • Poverty: Living simply and depending entirely on God's providence, sharing all things in common.
  • Obedience: Listening for God’s voice through the community and the signs of the times.

The Rite of Profession

During the Eucharistic celebration, the Sister makes her vows before the Church and the Congregation. As a sign of her permanent belonging, she receives a ring—a symbol of her eternal covenant with the Divine Bridegroom.
