Juniourate

Juniorate Formation

In all stages of formation, the Sister is given one or two guides to help her listen to her own inner voice and God’s call through reflection and prayer.

The Juniorate Stage

The Junior Sister professes temporary vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. These vows are repeated annually for two years, followed by a final two-year period of temporary profession before requesting final vows.

Upon her first profession, the Sister receives:

  • A black veil and a cross.
  • The Rule of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis.
  • The Community Register for her formal signature.
Profession Celebration

This special celebration takes place at our Provincial House.
