Sr. Marie-Laurentia Ntona
Temporarily Professed Sister • Franciscan Sisters of Siessen SA Province
My Roots
I come from the **Archdiocese of Johannesburg**, where my spiritual journey was deeply nurtured as a parishioner at **Sancta Maria Parish**. Growing up in a vibrant faith community, I always felt close to the heart of the Church, but it was through witnessing the Gospel in active, daily motion that my specific path began to take shape.
Inspiration & Calling
To join this religious way of life—and precisely the congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of Siessen—I was simply and profoundly inspired by the local witness of the Sisters. I watched closely as they reached out to be of good help to the poor and vulnerable people within my area. Seeing their selfless charity pushed a deep desire inside of me; I knew in my heart that I wanted to be just like them.
Living the Charism
As a Temporarily Professed Sister in the South African Province, I am blessed to walk this beautiful path of deeper formation and commitment alongside my community. The Franciscan focus on humility, joy, and open-hearted service allows my natural inclination to help others to flourish. By daily aligning my life with the spirit of Saint Francis, I am learning to serve God's people with ever-deepening love, joy, and dedication.
