Sr. Maria-Simone
Temporarily Professed Sister • Franciscan Sisters of Siessen SA Province
My Roots
I come from the **Archdiocese of Johannesburg**, where my foundation in faith was beautifully shaped and lived out as a parishioner at **St. Charles Lwanga Parish in Orange Farm**. Immersed in the life of the parish, I grew to cherish the presence of Christ in prayer and in the community surrounding me.
Inspiration & Calling
When searching for where God was directing my heart, it was a profound love for the poor and a deep, authentic spirit of prayer that stood out to me the most. These fundamental elements drew me like a magnet, guiding my steps to join the religious family of the Franciscan Sisters of Siessen, where prayer and service meet seamlessly.
Living the Charism
As a Temporarily Professed Sister, my daily journey is anchored in this active listening to God's voice. Franciscan spirituality teaches us that holiness is found in simplicity, humility, and looking at the world with a prayerful heart. By leaning into this charism alongside my community, I am learning how to empty myself so that the Lord can show me how to serve His people and love the poor with a joyful, undivided heart.
