Our Spirituality

The Message from the Cross

Our Charism originates from St. Francis of Assisi. Once a rich young man, he was called by God during a time of great personal and social difficulty. The message he received from the Cross was clear and transformative:

Influenced by his spirituality, the “Prayer of Peace” remains a powerful symbol of how we live the Gospel today. Francis stood as a bridge-builder, even venturing to seek peace with the Muslims during a time of war, teaching us the true path of reconciliation for all humanity.

Canticle of Brother Sun

St. Francis chose to live the Gospel in a radical way, proclaiming it to all creation. He saw the thumbprint of the Creator in every living thing, leading him to pen the beautiful “Canticle of Brother Sun.”

Every year on the 4th of October, we celebrate this profound respect for nature. Francis urged his followers to:

“Witness Christ’s love daily by loving and respecting everyone, including creation and if need be, to preach.”
