A Heart for the House of God

I was born in **Wepener**, in the southern Free State, as one of six children. From a very young age, I felt a deep pull toward the Church—I enjoyed the services so much that I wished they would never end. I found my life's inspiration in the words of the Psalm:

"I will remain in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life."

I first asked to join the Sisters when I was just a child. They told me I must wait until I was "a little bigger." True to my heart's desire, I returned to join the congregation at the age of 19.

Talents in Service

My journey has been one of hands-on service. I studied professional cooking at **Marianhill** and spent many years managing the kitchen and the parlor. My skills eventually expanded into sewing and the careful work of a sacristan, ensuring the sanctuary was always prepared for worship.

A Legacy of Care

Whether I was preparing meals for the community, mending dresses for my fellow Sisters, or serving as the house Superior at the **St. Joseph's Children Centre**, my goal has always been to be a faithful steward of the talents God gave me.
